The judgment which is reviewed herein found the defendant, Eugene Court, guilty of violating sec. 944.21 (1) (a), Stats., for selling and possessing for sale obscene magazines. The complaint alleged that on March 21, 1969, the defendant, the owner of a bookstore in the city of Appleton, sold three allegedly obscene magazines to one Robert F. Schreiter. The magazines were entitled, "Lasses and Glasses," "Cocktails," and "Affair."
